A playground gym is helping young people to achieve new skills and stay active for longer.

Orrell Newfold Community Primary School, in Wigan, has an extensive PE programme, aimed at helping students develop an in-depth understanding of different activities.

They’ve invested in a Sunshine Gym in the playground to actively promote healthy lifestyles achieved through eating sensibly and exercising regularly through their student-led sports council.

Its Sunshine Gym incudes the Children’s Double Health Walker which is great for bringing young people together to socialise while they exercise.

The outdoor gym area also includes a Double Slalom Skier, a Horse Rider, an Arm & Pedal bicycle, a Waist Twister and a Double Strength Challenger.

The arrangement of the multi gym means youngsters can either face or be alongside each other, so they can chat and exercise at the same time.

All the exercise equipment installed is from our children’s range, suitable for the specific use of those under 140cm / 4’ 7”.

Our installers positioned the gym equipment on black wet pour surfacing, contrasting nicely against the plants the school have around the play yard.
